Days 1 & 2 - FL vacation

On Friday morning we woke the girls up at 2:30 a.m. Neither of them slept on the way to the airport, in the plane or took a nap at my cousins. Taylor slept about 30 minutes in the car on the way to my cousins & Callee slept about 15 minutes & that was it. Surprisingly enough, they both did really well the whole day with minimal melt downs & slept extremely well that night.



When we got to my cousins house, she went to pick up her two kids from school (she let them get out early) & get some lunch while the rest of us stayed behind & got ready to go swimming. After lunch they swam for a while & then my grandma & I left to go get her over night bag that she didn't think she'd need. While we were gone my aunt & cousin took the kids to the park & Mike took a nap (did I mention he slept from 2 a.m. - 2:30 a.m. Friday morning?).



We grilled out Friday evening & went to bed by 10:30 (the kids were out by 9.)



Saturday was supposed to be our beach day where we'd spend all day at the beach, go home & get showered & then go out to dinner. Didn't quite happen how we'd planned it though. The winds were so strong that while we were walking towards the Gulf, Taylor & Callee would be lifted off the ground if they were in mid step when the wind blew. We were there for about 2 hours; the kids played in the ocean for about 15 minutes, we made them get out before they drowned from the high waves. We then went and ate at Frenchy's a little yummy restaurant on the beach & went home.

We swam the rest of the afternoon at my cousins & then got showered & cleaned up. At 6:30 we had reservations at a Japanese Steakhouse & the girls thought it was so cool for them to cook on our table. Callee's face was classic, but I don't have any pictures because while at the beach my camera battery died & I didn't charge it before dinner so it was still dead. Some days I am so dumb!!! Oh well.

We had a good time & made it home in time to watch part of the kids choice awards (high priority for Jack & Emily). The kids were in bed a little after nine for our big day at Magic Kingdom on Sunday.
