Taylor's room

Okay finally the Internet is up and blogger is letting me load my photos.

My dad, Josh, and Mike started painting Taylor's room Sunday after two hours of scraping off the border. I thought about putting more border up, but with all it took to get it down I think I'll ponder that thought a little longer.

I had taken the girls to a birthday party trying to keep them out of daddy and papa's hair, but they hadn't even started painting when we came home so they were up there for a little while and then I got them to come down stairs and they all played ring around the Rosy.

Ashes, ashes, we all fall down (except Callee)They got one coat done and then decided since it was so late and it wasn't dry yet they would do the second coat the next day. I worked half a day on Monday and when I got home, my mom and I went to Home Depot to get a stud finder and a light switch cover. Tay wanted Dora, but they didn't have any so she had to settle for Tinker Bell instead. I get back from doing that and my dad and I had to go back to Sears with the girls because the first gallon wasn't the same color as the second gallon. This was just turning into a fiasco. Sears couldn't match the paint again for some odd reason and since we only had one and a half walls left to do, we decided to wait and go to Sherwin Williams which we'll do tomorrow. Sears wasn't a total waste of time though because Taylor did get some nifty Tinker Bell wall stickers. So now we have two themes in her room, Tinker Bell and Dora. She at first wanted the Finding Nemo wall stickers so we almost had 3 themes, but it is her room so we would have let her. After she saw Tinker Bell though, that's what she wanted.

Overall, I think her room came out really cool especially since it is her. She placed the wall stickers where she wanted them and everything. I love it and was teasing her that I wanted to switch rooms with her. She is so sweet to say, "Maybe we can have a girls only movie night and sleepover and you could sleep up here with me sometime." She is such a sweet child.

Look at these guys hard at work. Well two of them anyway! Just kidding Josh! Thanks for your help. During. Well kinda after because it all did have one coat on. I don't know if you can see them, but the two Tink's behind Taylor's head are "friends." Taylor hung every sticker by herself and she stuck those two side by side saying they could be friends. Enlarge the picture and look at Cal's goofy face! A close up of the Tinkerbell's hanging on her walls:Taylor sitting happily on her bed in her "new" bedroom:
One of the Dora things we had to put in her room:
Her Dora trash can that she was thrilled with so she doesn't have to come downstairs to throw her dirty tissues away. Can you tell she has been sick?
This is what you see when you first walk in the door to her room.
This wall is the one that doesn't yet have a second coat of paint on it so don't mind how it looks, but here is her Tinkerbell light switch cover:

What a cute room! Taylor looks so pleased with it. Nice to have the guys do all the painting for you.
I love freshly painted walls but I dislike painting.
Happy New Year.
