A Party!

So remember when we were starting the sticker chart for Taylor? Well, she finally had enough stickers to have her top reward...a party with either me or Mike. She chose Mike of course which really worked out for the best since I had to take Callee to Immediate Care.

The aforementioned party consisted of movies, games, junk food, and staying up late. We told her she could stay up as late as she wanted as long as she wasn't cranky the next day. She made it until almost midnight! The junk food was coke (she never gets pop, unless it's from my dad!), cookies, Doritos, and chips and dip. This was a real treat for her because I never buy junk food. We always had junk food in the house when I was growing up and I loved it, but now I am trying to lose weight so I am weak when it is around.

Taylor drank some hot chocolate, wrestled with her dad and watched Ratatouille. Cute movie if you haven't seen it.

Speaking of good movies, I took Taylor to see The Bridge to Terebithia (it was her first movie.) and I loved it about as much as she did. She sat through the entire movie and I don't think she made a sound. Anyone else see it? Well, I suggested my mother-in-law buy it for Taylor because I hadn't mentioned it to anyone else. She called last night to tell me she had bought it for Taylor...I am so excited! I loved this movie and can't wait for Christmas now, maybe I should have just had her buy it for me.

I hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday. Oh, yeah, Callee is still running a fever so if she still has one after her nap, I'm going to have to call the doctor.

Blogger is being finicky so I will upload pics from the party later.

Those were perfect party choices. Back when my daughter was very small, I used to have one night a month that I would devote all to her. Whatever she wanted to eat, watch, play etc... It really made up for being a working single mother.

Sounds like Taylor had a great party with dad. Good for her.

I hope Callee is feeling better soon.

It won't let me leave a comment, I hope this one goes.
