Another Fast Weekend

Well this weekend went by way too fast as usual. We had to go to West Virginia for a wedding. One of my cousins who was like a brother to me growing up was getting married and my brother was the best man. We left at 10 am on Saturday and didn't get back until 2 pm on Sunday. The wedding was really fun, but only Taylor and I made the travels. Callee won't sleep anywhere but her own bed and we really didn't want to drive back up at 10 pm so Mike wanted to stay home with her. This gave Taylor and I some good quality time together, but I must admit, I really missed my husband and my baby.

We were late for the wedding, couldn't find the church! Then, we went back to the hotel, where the reception was and ate, drank and had fun dancing the evening away. Taylor loved to dance and would dance with anyone she could find. One of the highlights of the night was the best man speech. It was hilarious. He made one really funny joke about West Virginians (where my cousins wife is from). He made the comment of, "I don't know why Amy is marrying Kevin, he obviously isn't her brother and he still has his teeth!" I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard. You could tell one half of the reception hall was from OH and one half was from WV because OH half was cracking up and WV half let out a huge gasp! Oh well, it was funny and it was all in good fun.
We packed up and left the next morning. I got home and Mike said Callee was sleeping and she had been really whiny all morning. When she got up, she looked like death warmed over and had an extremely high temp. I thought "Are you kidding me, you can't tell she's sick?" So I asked him. He took one look and feel of her and said, "I swear she didn't look like that earlier and now she is burning up too!" Ok, at least I didn't marry a moron! I ended up taking her to immediate care last night because we couldn't get her temp to stay down. She has an ear infection and a throat infection, but it could have been worse.

So here I am starting another week at work, which sucks! I hate it, but I may have found a new job so everyone keep your fingers crossed. I need to get out of here! Thanks to everyone that said a little prayer for me, I definitely appreciate it.
The wedding really tired Taylor out. This is her on the ride home. So sweet!
Joshua, don't forget to bring me those CD's!

Sounds like you had the best (wedding) and the not-so-best (sick baby!) weekend. I will say lots of prayers that your work situation resolves or changes. Keep thinking positive thoughts!

Glad you had fun at the wedding. I was born in OH but both sides of my family are from WV. My family calls me a buck-a-billy. So I know all about the WV jokes. :o) But those of us from WV tend to make fun of those from KY...lol!!!! Hope your little one is felling better soon.
And great news about the new job. I will keep you in my prayers.
