Plans are made

Well Mike & I had a lovely Valentine's Day & I got to sleep in on Sunday which is always nice. Then when I did get up to go get gift cards from Giant Eagle (might as well get some free gas while we're all ready spending the money, right?) my car wouldn't start. Luckily Mike was almost home so I took his car & got what I needed. Then my dad came over & we were pretty sure it was the battery, alternator or starter.

I headed down to Advance Auto & had it checked & thank goodness it was only the battery. My car is now running well & I have a brand new battery for it. Not the way I wanted to blow $100, but I guess I needed it. The rest of the weekend went fairly well & now it's Monday.

Mike had spent some money on a new weight set he wanted & I very rarely spend money on myself. I always find some bill or way to fix the house that we could use the money for instead. Well we didn't need out Income Tax money like I thought we did (we thought we were going to have to replace our breaker box and/or furnace, but it was an easy $25 fix thanks to his uncle.) so Mike suggested I buy myself something. I thought about buying a computer, but decided I felt too guilty & didn't want to do that, so I didn't. Today I got a brilliant idea that maybe the girls & I would go visit my grandma (who left last week) in Florida for a long weekend of some sort. Well after much researching we got the tickets for a good price so we will be going to FL for 4 days in March. We will leave very early on Friday and come back very late on Monday. Both ways are non stop and my aunt is going with us. It should be fun & we can't wait now.

I now have to make two paper chains or two countdown calendars to avoid the "When is it time for...?" question. We are going to FL in March & Taylor's birthday is in April so that will be two countdowns I need to get going on.

Mike had today off of school because of President's Day & Taylor told him, "I'm not going to grandma's today, mom & I are going to FL!" So I had to explain to her that it's not time yet & we'd do a countdown of some sort tonight after work. I hope it works because if I have to hear, "When are we going to Florida" and "When is it my birthday" for the next 1 - 2 months I may leave them in an airport on the way down or back...lol.
