Whatever

Well, my boss is most certainly a huge jerk and Mike wants me to tell him December 31 is my last day. I want to line something up first because I hate not having a back up plan, but at this point in time I don't know what I'm going to do. Mike seems to think we will figure it all out and who knows maybe we will, but I'm not going to give my notice right now.

I won't go into all the details about the ignorant things he said, but no we don't have any bereavement time. None at all paid or unpaid. His policy is "Why do you have to go to the funeral, they're all ready dead?" Ignorant yes, but that is him!

The services were nice and he looked so comfortable. He has a certain zip up sweater that he wore almost every day (because he was always cold) and that's what my grandma had him buried in. He also wore his "NAVY" hat proudly. I read this story and although there were some tears I got through it. My brother stood up to say some words and our entire family learned my brother's calling. That boy is meant to be a Pastor and I hope he pursues it because God made his calling very clear for my brother.

I am back at work and hating every second. I need to update my resume so I can get them out (hey maybe I'll do it while I'm here!) I'm just going to take it one step at a time and hope and pray that I find something that is a better fit for us.

I'm so so sorry Courtney. I know Peaches will be missed more than words can say.

I'm also sorry you have such a hateful boss. I hope you find a job where you are appreciated very soon!

I don't understand why people just can't be decent to others. Whether you be the boss or not!

Cool about your brother!

So sorry about the loss of your Grandpa. Wonderful that Grandma had him wear his favorite sweater.

Hugs and prayers Courtney. I hope that you are feeling better. And the girls.

I can't believe anyone would say such a thing. I hope you are able to find something quickly. I am having a very hard time finding something to supplement all of the students I have lost due to the bad economy.

Wow~ it sounds like you work for a real winner. It also sounds like Mike is right, you need to quit. But at the same time, right now is such a bad time to be looking for work. I hope all works out for you.

What a jerk, BUT I would be hesitant to leave right now. I'm hearing about layoffs left and right. I'm not sure what the job situation is in your area, but maybe it is best to stay put for a bit longer until things have time to turn around. It is sucky, but it is a bit of security.
