Quick Updates

I don't have much time, but the doctor told my grandma he gives my grandpa no longer than 6 months. Then he said, "I'm only human, it's really in God's hands." My opinion? I don't think he'll make it to Christmas. I'm going to take Taylor this weekend to see him while Callee is napping because Callee is afraid of him, but she'll still say she wants to go.

On a different note, potty training seems to finally be happening. I couldn't be more excited. She still won't tell us when she has to go, but if we ask her, she will go. She is in underwear on the weekends and in the evening and although we've had accidents we are making progress. Every time she goes we put a sticker on her sticker chart and she also gets to pick a piece of candy. Taylor also gets a piece of candy so this is an extra motivator to get Taylor to help us out. When she can stay in underwear all day and wear them to school, we are going to take the girls to chuck e. cheese. This also helps Taylor to keep her motivated.

We moved Callee's bed upstairs with Taylor. They like it although I must say that bedtime takes a little longer for them to fall asleep. It's okay with me though because they do stay in their room and they aren't up running around so I say if they want to talk for a little while, why not let them. Every night that I have gone up to check on them after they've fallen asleep, Callee has been in bed with Taylor. I am debating on getting rid of the twin bed and buying them a double bed for them to both sleep in. Any suggestions or thoughts?

That's all for now, I hope everyone has a good hump day!

We tried to put our two together upstairs, but Aaron kept waking Noah up at the crack of dawn and Noah got so far behind in his sleep, that he was grumpy all the time. I hope we can try it again when they are older.

Congratulations on being on your way to being diaper free. Aaron may be ready to give up his night time pull up but I am stalling big time on encouraging the issue.

we had ours together for a while, they seemed to have a hard time as well, now in the new house they have their own rooms again.

My DH's grandma has had terrible health this past few months, they haven't given a time frame but we dont think she will hold out much longer. it is so sad, all four of my grandparents are passed already so I really have taken to Greg's.

My Grandpa is also very ill. They give him a week and then he makes it one more week. He hardly even gets out of bed. I am so glad I visited this summer. It is still hard and I am doing my best to keep it off my mind. Every time I talk to my mom though I feel like crying. I wish I could go visit again, but we don’t have the money for a plane ticket. I know Gregory won’t remember him but we have pictures and I have the memories to share. Now I am crying again.

I am so sorry to hear you are going through this too. Hope your visit goes well. I agree it is better to go with as little pain as possible.

Sorry to hear about your grandpa.
Sounds like potty training is going well.
The bed thing, I remember me and my sis had a big canopy bed we share when we were little. If they end up in bed together why not.

I'm so sorry about your grandpa! I hope you can have at least a few more good visits with him yet.

But how exciting that potty training finally seems to be happening! Yay!
