Now that the election is over...

...let's hope Obama can bring the change we need. I was so tired of the campaigning and the attacks against each candidate. It was enough all ready. Now we can do it all again in four years. History was made and it is just another day for me.

I wanted to give you all an update about my sister. I don't think I have posted anything about her since she dropped the bomb she was pregnant and expecting in March of 2009. She is doing great with her pregnancy, gaining weight well and no complications. She has some discomfort due to her sciatic nerve, but nothing to write home about.

Now for the good news. Some of you may not take it as good news, but if you knew everything surrounding it, it is GREAT news. She has not been talking to or seeing her now ex-boyfriend/baby's father for the past couple months. I haven't posted about it because I wanted to make sure it was going to stick before I posted how proud of her I was and then had to go back and say nevermind!

This jerk has put her through a lot of stuff and it started way before she got pregnant as I stated before. I wish she would've realized this before bringing a child into the situation, but I guess it is better late than never right? I will be babysitting while she finishes school and does her clinicals. It'll be like having another baby, but I don't have to get up in the middle of the night, potty train or make the transition from crib to bed. Perfect!!!

And the names are....
Isabella Grace for a girl and Jonah Michael for a boy.

Funny, these were both my names that I loved and were vetoed by my husband so at least I'll have a niece or nephew with one of these names. And although everyone seems to think she is having a boy (her included) she goes for a sonogram on Friday so hopefully we'll know for sure then. Now that she has left him alone it is so much easier to support her through this time.

The other day she informed me that if she goes into labor and my mom can't be there for any reason I am to be there stat! I guess she thinks I can just leave whenever, so hopefully it will all work out that way.

So that is my update on my sister. I'm sure on Friday I'll let you all know the sex if the baby cooperates.

Isabella Grace was going to be Caleb's name if he was a girl! I LOVE IT! But you know how that whole girl thing worked out for me...lol! :o)

It is better to have someone supportive in your life if you are going to have a child and if the father won’t be supportive and only causes trouble it is better not to have him in it.

It is nice that you can be there to help your sister.

Yes if I could skip the potty training I would be happy too.

Gregory won’t ask to go to the potty, but as long as I take him every two hours he has been staying dry. I just wish he would ask.
We have been having about two accidents a day.

Good luck to you on that front too.

Isabella Grace is one of my favorite names...life just never gave the opportunity for another one. I'm glad your sister is doing well. How is your mouth? Are you swollen?
