Craziness or rather Laziness

Thank you for all your kind comments on my last post. I can say that I didn't have to delete any comments and didn't feel like any of you were just trying to be nice and I appreciate that.

Things at work have been crazy the past three weeks. I have had a ton of meetings and it doesn't appear to be slowing down until October. I like it in a way because it makes my day go faster, but it also wears me out so by the weekend I am exhausted and definitely need to take naps. I am going to try to post regularly because I do have a few things I want to post, but with work and spending time with my kids I just don't have the time.

We had a very lazy weekend this weekend and it was nice. Saturday we laid around and napped because it rained all day long. Taylor had her second week of dance in the morning and I had some blood work I needed to get done and then I went grocery shopping after having my blood drawn. I stopped and picked up some lunch and then the girls and I took a much needed nap. My little sister took 4 kids to Burger King to eat and play in the play area after our naps so I cleaned a little and then worked out a little. I have found that if I take an Aleve about 45 minutes prior to walking I can walk for about an hour. I still have pain afterwards, but I am noticing it is helping my knee to not be so weak so I will continue doing this as long as I can. At about 8:00 that night I went to my grandma's house to visit and watch the beginning of the OSU-USC game (no I don't want to talk about it) and then went home to continue watching the crushing game. Mike's aunt had made the girls some hair clips and brought them over then so we had fun going through those and looking at all that she had come up with.

Sunday we went to church and then the girls and I went to my grandma's for dinner. It was a good time, but by the time I got back home I was exhausted from the heat and humidity! Can I tell you how much I hate Ike? We didn't do much of anything on Sunday, but clean and be lazy again. I love weekends like this and during the summer we get very few of them so the beginning of fall I look forward to my lazy weekends. By Sunday evening the winds were really starting to blow and trees, limbs and branches were starting to fall. It ended up being a pretty nasty night because of Ike and all I can say is I'm grateful I don't live in Texas because that was bad enough for me.

I took the girls to daycare yesterday only to discover they didn't have any power. I had a meeting for work and didn't have a back up plan because we had power so I never even considered the daycare not having it. My wonderful aunt came to the rescue and went and picked up my girls and kept them for the day, but not before spoiling them. They went to McDonald's two times yesterday to eat and play in the play area. Not my ideal lunch and dinner for them, but who am I to say anything when this rarely happens for them, but when they are sick or there is an emergency like yesterday she is always there in a pinch?

That is what has been going on in our house in a nutshell. This weekend we will go to the OSU game against Troy and hopefully it will be a better outcome for them. I have a lot of pictures to post, but Blogger is being goofy so look for those during the week.

We had a rainy weekend and Sunday it was nice just to be lazy.

I know what you mean about being busy at work, makes for a quick day. It makes you tried but that good you sleep better.

Sounds like you have lots of family to help, that great!

Had to stop by and see how you were doing. I have been crazy busy with work and Busy Boy's issues. I have an update on that that I need to post but have not found time.

Glad your weekend was relaxing and hope Ike didn't cause you too much trouble.

Sounds like you've been busy too. Yes, Ike really made a mess around our area with the floods. I had to almost drive thru rivers to get to my daughter before Ivy was born. It was a very exciting weekend to say the least.
