Working Weekend

Our weekend was a working one. I took no pictures which I could kick myself for because I really wanted to do the before and afters, but I didn't.

Friday I got a phone call from my parents saying that my dad was coming to pick up my girls at 8 a.m. on Saturday to take them to the lake for the day. I don't know if you remember me saying before that he doesn't take kids until they are potty trained, but for some reason he was taking Callee too. I got up and got them ready and shipped them out and then I went back to bed. I knew that I wanted to clean my house without them there, but I really wanted to sleep too so I went back to sleep instead of cleaning. I woke up at noon and started the cleaning then.

I stopped at 1:30 to take my mom my car so she could get to work and then went home and finished. I went out to the lake to see the girls around 3:30 and we all left about 5:15. We stopped on the way home to get pizza and ate, then it was bath time. After their baths we went outside to play while Mike finished cutting the grass. Taylor then decided she wanted to go for a walk. We had made plans to go to my parents house to have a bonfire (my parents live about 3/4 of a mile from our house) so the girls and I walked there. After Mike got a shower he drove over so he could drive us home since it would all ready be dark by then. The fire was nice (my dad almost caught his garage on fire) and Taylor ended up staying the night at my parents house.

Mike got up at 8 a.m. on Sunday (we skipped church) to dig out the flower beds around our house. Last year we planted some (small) bushes as well as flowers, but the bushes got out of control so we dug it all up, weeded and softened the dirt so it will be easier to replant and re mulch in the spring. It is all done and our house looks bare, but nice.

Next weekend we have some friends coming in from out of town and Mike has his fantasy football draft. I think tomorrow I am going to post about who (and why) peed in my cheerios (Shephs words.) Happy Monday to everyone.

LOL! The peeing in Cheerio's comment made me laugh! Now you have all of us at the edge of our seats to hear the who and why. :o)
