Car shopping...

went well. I managed to get a car that Mike would like and a payment that I like (and can afford.) We are leasing another Grand Prix for another 3 years. This one is completely loaded and I must say that I am a little jealous of his new car. I am the one who went right after work, got lost, left my kids at my moms until after 8 p.m., and did all of this in the rain and yet he gets the nice, new, fully loaded car? Doesn't seem fair. We go tomorrow morning to sign the rest of the papers and turn in his current Grand Prix and pick up the new one. I am excited about it, but I really didn't want to do anything on Saturday morning. He'll look good driving around in his fully loaded, purty new car on Saturday though.

Saturday is going to be a pretty full day. We have to pick up his car in the morning, the girls and I have a baby shower at 1, they are going to a birthday party for one of Mike's family members at 3 while mommy goes for the one hour massage she was given for her birthday! Oh what a happy time that is going to be! Afterwards, if it doesn't rain, we are probably going to go to the rib burn off for some dinner and fun for the girls. By that point I will be so exhausted and probably fall into my bed sometime around 11.

Sunday we have church and then a birthday party for one of my cousins. I'm not sure if we're going to go (long story of a stupid family member.) If we do, the girls will have fun. This particular birthday girl is 13 days older than Callee and it is so neat to watch them play together.

Mike is on day turn next week so that will be nice to have him home in the evenings with us. It will allow me to keep up with the cleaning all week and who knows, maybe we'll get to do some fun family stuff.

I hope you all enjoy your weekends too!

Wow, I am exhausted reading your schedule for the next few days. That sounded like my weekend last week. How nice, a new car! My next one will be a convertible. I drive a Mimi van now, but watch out in a few years, Mimi will be driving in style...

congrats on finding a new car. both DH's car and my van are 1996
his car has 160,000 something on it and my van has 202,000 something on it. We are in need of a new one, but I plan to drive them till they die because I like not having a car payment LOL. I don't think the van is going to last much longer.. I haven't got to it yet in my camping trip post but on our last night of camping the van over heated. we have since put a new water pump on it.. but still she is old and has a ton of miles so I guess I need to start saving my money because she won't last forever.

Sounds like a GREAT weekend! Don't you hate when they get the nicer car?? :-) I hope he enjoys it and lets you drive it now and again!

Enjoy your massage! I am getting one in August when I go on my scrapbook retreat! I cannot wait!

Mike is one lucky man because if I wasn't the one driving that shiny new car I would not have been the one doing all the work :) Hope you have a great weekend
