A good week?

Sunday I made two big dishes, besides the dinner that we had in hopes that this week would go a little smoother. I won't have to cook until Wednesday, but because we are going to church with my brother I will probably pick something up on the way home instead. That means I won't have to cook until Thursday this week. My hope is that things will go a lot smoother with the girls and everyone will be in bed when they should be instead of just a little later.

I am currently trying to find a new church (I think). There are some things going on in our church that I don't agree with and I really need to pray about it and see if it is just me or if it is time to move on. In the meantime, I am going to go look at other churches with my family to see if we fit better somewhere else. I am having a hard time with this for a few reasons, the biggest being I have gone there since I was 8 years old. This is what I know and it's not always right to stay for that reason and it's not always easy to leave for that reason. I really need to figure things out.

Anyways, my weekend was pretty good and I hope everyone elses was. Taylor and I went to a jewelry party on Saturday and Taylor made a really pretty bracelet. I'll post pics tomorrow because we just got the bracelet back today.

Have a happy Monday!

I'm glad you guys had a great weekend.

I really identify with your church dilemma. We have been at our current place of worship and also are struggling with the decision of whether to leave or stick it out. It is amazing how important the right place of worship is to our well being. I hope you find what you need soon.

I have been LDS (mormon) my entire life and I have been blessed and very lucky to have always had the faith and knowledge that what I believe is true.

I hope you find what you are looking for, I am sure your reasons for moving on are good reasons.

Have a most wonderful week.

I'm sorry you are feeling you need to look for a new church - especially since you've been going there for so long. I know that sometimes happens and I hope it works out for you and your family. Glad you had a good weekend - see you soon. Kellan

I know exactly how you feel. We are moving churches also and we have been there since we were kids. My husbands dad was our pastor back then and his brother is now. So it is really a shake up.
Can't wait to see the bracelet.
I didnt know you were giving jobs away. LOL But I did enjoy my first day so I think I will stay there. LOL

Glad to hear you had a nice weekend!

As I get older, I really see more clearly the difference between religion and spirituality. I'm happy that I've found a good fit between a religion that teaches and exemplifies the same things I feel deep inside to be eternal truths. (Like Janice, I am LDS). I don't think its an easy journey to find the church or belief system that will ring true, but when you find it, you will know.

Good luck on your journey!

Blessings,
Jen

great idea cooking in advance.
I totally understand about the church. My parents moved to the town they live in now when I was 6 years old and we started a church there, I grew up in that church, got married, had 3 of my kids there and was not only a sunday school teacher but DH and I was also youth leaders there.. but things were going on and happening there that God lead us to leave the church. It's not an easy thing to do when you had been in a church for so long and starting a new church isn't always easy also because after being at a place so long it seems like your family and going into a new place just doesn't feel like home. If you need to talk to anyone at all about this feel free to email me..
I'll keep you in my prayers that God leades you to where He wants you and your family to be.

Best of luck with your search. We moved quite a bit, so I am relieved to say that I like finally settling into one place. Although I don't feel like we get involved throughout the week like we should. Maybe when it's warmer, right now I just want to hibernate.

Good luck finding somewhere you feel comfortable. That is always a difficult decision.

I have yet to find a church where I feel we belong. It is a hard choice to make. I hope you find peace and find somewhere you feel comfortable.

The bracelet is gorgeous!
