Changes

As if finding a new church wasn't a big enough change for everyone, we've added 2 more. First of all, our babysitter has become rather unreliable lately. There are times where Mike goes to drop off the girls and her car is in the driveway, but she doesn't answer the door or the phone. We have been really patient with her and listened to her reasons and forgiven every.single.time. Yesterday when Mike went to drop them off it was the same thing. She called me at work about 3 and asked if we got someone to do it. She said she took a nap and set an alarm that never went off. Well, Mike ended up being late for work and can get in big trouble for that, so we've decided to put them in daycare.

The second big change is that Mike has decided to go back to school. This means the girls will be in daycare from about 8:15 - 5:30. Taylor will no longer go to the preschool she goes to now and will have to adjust to her new daycare/preschool setting. They will be going to a daycare about 20 minutes away because one of my cousins works there, my aunt is the administrator and the gentleman that owns the daycare is a family friend. The out of the way drive is worth it because I know my kids will be very well taken care of.

Please keep our family in your prayers as Mike starts school in April and the girls have to adjust to not seeing him Monday - Thursday. I am sure this will be a difficult time for everyone especially the ones that don't understand this will be better in the long run.

God does answer prayers and for that I am so grateful! Now if he'll just lead me to the church I am supposed to be at. I guess I need to be patient for that though, right.

Our prayers are answered, someitmes not in the way we want, but they always are answered. What a hard choice to have to make about putting them in day care. At least you know they will be near family members. What is your husband going back to school in? That is also a huge leap of faith.

Oh sweetheart, I think you made the right decision. Piece of mind is worth everything. It's funny how babysitters can sometimes turn the tables and take advantage of us. I'm only sorry we don't live closer because most days I'm sitting here, twiddling my thumbs, and Nik is an awesome baby sitter. I hope that all will soon fall into place. I think this icky weather isn't helping moods either.

Thank you for such nice comments. I feel such a weight about this lifted off my shoulders. Mike is going back to school for his business degree. I finally feel that that is what he is meant to do at this point in time. I finally feel at peace about it all.

I will keep you in my prayers and I am certain it will all work out, as it sounds great that Mike is going to go back to school. And, I know you will work out the church thing too - take care - Kellan

You are still in my prayers about the church thing! I know that the Lord will lead you to where you need to be. :o) And I know with time all will become a comfortable routine. The end result will be worth the struggles.

I will be sending good cyber-thoughts your way. It is so hard to have major changes happen at the same time. Finding someone to stay with our kids seems to be one of the most stressful jobs. We want everyone to adore them as much as we do. I know you will weather these changes well.

John Marc, my husband, recently went back to school and we just put our newborn (now 3 months old) son in daycare and everything has been working perfectly, so I'm sure it will work for y'all, too. Good luck with the transition though!

I hope all of your changes are great transitions for all of you.
