Laura tagged me for what I am calling a weirdo meme. The rules are for me to link to the person who tagged me, list 7 weird things about myself and then tag 7 others to play along. And also, most importantly, let them know they have been tagged.
So here goes:
- Based on my last couple of posts I'm sure you can tell I second guess myself a lot. This isn't necessarily weird, but very annoying.
- I hate the feel of the cotton in the medicine bottle. I cannot get it out because I'd rather stab myself in the eye than have to deal with that horrible feel. Unfortunately, my older sister has this same quirck and when we were in high school, we both needed Sudafed with cotton still in the bottle. We both tried and then fought over who had to do it until we finally woke my mom up at 5:45 a.m. to do it for us. We're lucky she loves us, however she still brings it up.
- I absolutely love Nicholas Sparks and especially "A Bend In the Road." Anyone who hasn't read it should. The weird part is it is a book that is good because it has you guessing who did it the entire way through the book, but it's also a romance novel and I have read it 4 times. You would think it wouldn't be fun after you know the outcome, but I still like it.
- Okay, I can't believe I'm going to admit this, but there are days where I don't feel like a mom. I feel like I am their babysitter and I am waiting for their mom to come pick them up and the stupid lady never does! I felt this way when I had Taylor and was told it was normal, but now I have two and Taylor will be 4 in a couple of months. I don't think it's normal anymore.
- Sometimes I think I have OCD. I check everything that could cause a fire, a burglary, or a murder a lot before I go to bed. The stove, the lights, the locks, the straightener, etc. I actually lose sleep over this. One time I was laying in bed and I couldn't remember if I had turned off my straightener or not before I went to bed. I thought to myself, "Why do you do this to yourself? Go to sleep I'm sure it will be fine." It was when my sister was staying with us and she got up in the morning and said, "Are you trying to burn down your house? The straightener was on all night." These times fuel my crazy fire.
- I will wear anything out of my house. Pajamas, sweats, jeans, dresses it doesn't matter, but my hair must always, always, always be washed and dried. I don't know why it's just what it is.
- I am absolutely terrified that something will happen to my husband or my children. I base this on my reaction to my best friend dying when I was 11. I know I would react differently and am more mature now and better equipped to deal with death, but I am still horrified.
Now to tag 7 people. Shana, KC, Kellan, Rachael, Amy, Rhonda and the sad thing is, is that I don't have a seventh blogging friend! That just depressed me, see another weird thing I don't even have 7 blog friends and it bothers me.

You are so funny! I need to get that book and read it and my girls would love it too as they love Nicholas Sparks too. The one about not being a mother was hysterical! And the last one was so cute. Thanks for tagging me - I'll try to get to it soon - I like this 7 things tag the best of all of them. Take care and I'll see you soon - my bloggy friend. Kellan
Oh girl I'm work on a tag right now from Rhonda.
I'll be busy tonight!
I know someone else who can't touch the cotton in medicine bottles.
I am so with you on the OCD thing. I often feel the alarm clock thing and the obsession I have with making sure everything is off before I can sleep (or even leave the house on vacation or a long drive) is a little OCD, but I'm sticking with quirky. We're both just quirky. :) I love Nicholas Sparks books and I am with you on worrying incessantly about tragedy befalling those I love most. But, in hindsight, I am glad I did because I cherished my husband...and I can tell from your words that you cherish your family as well.
Hi!
I came here via KC's blog... I have to say, I am 5,6 & 7 too!!! I totally identified while reading your post! Oh a day in our shoes, right? All of these pressures :)
