Lilypie Fourth Birthday tickers

Wow!

It's been 22 days since I last posted. That is a little crazy.

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We sure did, lots of family time and lots of eating! My brother in laws birthday happened to fall on Thanksgiving so the traditional pumpkin pie dessert was replaced with a DQ ice cream cake at my mother in law's house this year! We had a lot of fun & I honestly can't remember the last time I laughed that hard. The girls had a blast dancing, bugging their grandma and playing too.

The situation with Mike's cousin & his whatever has gotten, better, worse then better then worse! I really wish they'd do what they said and leave everyone alone. After we did Thanksgiving early, all hell broke loose. There were feelings that were hurt on every side and then we were all told how embarassing we were & they were glad they can say they made the effort and that they didn't have to deal with us anymore and they could walk away guilt free. In there eyes apparently, but everyone else knew maybe this would be best because apparently we are all rude unless we kiss both of their behinds, which isn't going to happen. This honestly is just way too much drama which is why I've been quiet for so long! I am hoping it goes completely away very soon. If you are friends with me on facebook and have been wondering about weird status' this is the situation it has to do with.

Now, onto the next big thing. I spoke to soon about Taylor and delaying the talk with her pediatrician. Her teacher called last night. She is now not only forgetting to turn things in, but she is not paying any attention in class. Right now it isn't affecting her performance because she's way beyond where she needs to be, but eventually it will. Her teacher said she counted yesterday how many times she had to remind Taylor to focus and pay attention because she knew she was calling me & it was a total of 7 times! In two hours...they only go to 1/2 day kinder in our district! 7 times in two hours is a little worrisome to me. More worrisome is the fact that Taylor was on yellow (the first time all year being off green) last week for hitting another student! What????? I was embarassed, upset and outraged. Something needs to change so she goes to her pediatrician on Dec 22 to see what he thinks. The acting out has to stop now. When asked why she hit, she says she just got frustrated. Apparently we forgot how to use words instead of fists.

So that is what has been going on with us. Work has been busy and Bella's kept me occupied after work. My weekends are spent entertaining Taylor mostly. She doesn't seem to be able to play independently all of the sudden. She goes from one thing to the next to the next in a matter of seconds! When she talks it is 100 mph! I think her brain is moving as quickly as her mouth. Taylor has always had a problem with sleep walking, but it is happening every night now rather than a couple times a week. These are all things I plan on discussing with the doctor too.

If any of you have or do have a child with either ADD or ADHD and have any advice, please leave it here! I don't care whether you are for or against meds, let me know why & what you do that works for you. I do what to say she is not a distraction in class usually so I don't believe she has ADHD, but more ADD. Let me know please!
