Just one day of our weekend

So I have said before on here how we have not had any summer weather. It's barely reached 80 and only a couple days this summer have been that. It's mostly 70 - 75 and in the evenings it's going down to 60. Great sleeping weather, but we haven't been able to swim hardly at all or anything else.

Well, we got our summer weather yesterday. It was 94 and the humidity was a little crazy! Did I mention we went to the air base for the air show on Sunday? Yea, we were ourside in the crazy heat and humidity on the hottest day of the year by far. Who would have thought it would be like that when we have had such a cool summer? The weirdest thing is that Mike and I went to the Italian fest on Friday night (around 7:30 pm) and I wore jeans and a sweatshirt because the temps had dropped to 65 by that time. It is still really hot today and isn't supposed to be below 85 all week with little chance of rain. I guess we are finally getting our summer, but I would have loved if it had waited one more day.

We left the air show early when they had set up sprinklers for the kids. We took ours and they were soaked to the bone. By the time we made it back to our seats they were almost completely dry and our seats weren't that far from the sprinklers.

Considering it was so hot and miserable, Callee was up late on Saturday night and everyone was tired of walking, my kids did an awesome job. Here are a few of the pictures, most were taken in the morning when it was only about 82 and overcast, but by the time the show started the sun came up the humidity was high and so was the tension. Some of the pictures aren't very good because of condensation on the lens, but enjoy anyways.

I feel for all of you in Texas and Arizona....we wanted to die! And it was only one day of it.
