Weekend Recap

Saturday - We didn't get to go get Mike's car (long story for another post), but a whole lot still happened this weekend. Saturday we got up and my mom and I went to Sam's Club (I spent way too much money again!) My mom dropped me off at my house and I laid Callee down for a nap and started getting their bathing suits and extra clothes ready for the birthday party they were going to. I couldn't find either of Taylor's bathing suits from last year (that we just had a couple months ago) so her and I went to Target to get a new one. When we got home I got the rest of the stuff ready and my mom came to pick me up for the baby shower we were going to. While at the shower my cousin who lives in Colorado now (we were inseparable until we were about 14) showed up at the church to do marriage counseling with our Pastor. His fiancee and him are getting married here next summer, but won't be back before then. Basically, they are planning a wedding in 10 days. God bless his fiancee! It was so good to see him and I knew I missed him, but when I saw him I would have never imagined how much I actually missed him. At 3 my friend who was also getting a massage picked me up at the church to head over to the massage parlor. We had some wonderful fruit water, a foot bath and then the massage began. It was not the best massage I have ever had, but it was good. After that I went home and vegged until Mike got home with the kids. We did our evening routines after dinner and I was in bed by 11:30.

Sunday - We got up and went to church. After church Callee laid down for a nap and Taylor and I were supposed to go meet Jenn and Addison at the rib burn off and Mike and Callee were going to join us when she woke up. There were threats of storms so we decided to wait it out. Two hours later there were still no storms so we all ventured out (Mike and Callee too.) We got in and played a game and then got our food and went to sit down under the huge tents. Mike and I kept Addison while Jenn went to get her food. 5 minutes after she left this huge torrential downpour started and she got stuck in it, but I was glad we kept Addison with us so she didn't get rained on. Jenn looked like a drowned rat by the time she got back to the tent. Two minutes after she got back it stopped raining. That would be Jenn's luck. We played a few more games and then listened to the bands playing. After that it was time to go home. We had to stop at Mike's dads house to print off some resumes to send out to various employers for Mike and then we finally made it home around 6:30. It was then time to eat, get baths, do hair and get to bed to start our Monday's.

Mike is on day turn this week so it will be good to have him home with us. I get my new camera on Wednesday so I promise there will be pictures later in the week. Here is an old one of my little Callee just after Christmas when she was about 6 1/2 months old.

That little baby is going to be 2 in 9 days. She breaks my heart growing up that fast!

Cute baby picture! Yes, they grow up so fast....
What a busy weekend. Then back to work.
I got up really early today. I have the day off but wanted a little 'alone' time while the grandkids are all still sleeping out in the tipi tent.

What a cutie - she's going to be two!?! Sounds like you had a good weekend - aside from the car.

Take care - Kellan
